Our Inspiration

RESPONSIBLE

We exist in a culture characterized by disposability; the push for industrial growth and corporate profitability has resulted in mass production that overlooks the intricacies of waste management and disposal. Consequently, our landfills have transformed into vast mounds of refuse, emitting foul odors and releasing harmful chemicals into our surroundings. The indiscriminate dumping of waste on land and in our oceans has turned these areas into repositories for both solid and liquid waste.

Our solution is poised to create a significant positive impact in developing countries. It aims to empower communities by offering livelihoods to individuals involved in waste collection and metal recovery from burned waste. Rather than merely monetizing these activities, we will integrate them into our value chain. We will collaborate with small businesses that currently lack efficient methods for removing used rubber from rubber-reinforced products or consider the process too labor-intensive and costly. Together, we will explore innovative solutions, such as addressing the challenges associated with rubber rams used in the construction industry.

TECHNOLOGY

Throughout our journey, we have encountered numerous outdated and unscrupulous processes that have given rise to businesses promoting gasification technologies. Many of these technologies are incomplete and pose significant environmental risks, including the potential release of toxic dioxins, furans, and hydrogen sulfide gas into the atmosphere. Additionally, they often leave behind a substantial amount of toxic ash that cannot be safely landfilled. The gasification oil produced by these processes requires extensive refining due to its high content of sulfur, aromatics, metals, and tar, despite being classified as a distillate. The majority of equipment operates under manual conditions, lacking the provision of personal protective equipment (PPE) during the removal of toxic ash. This ash is carcinogenic and generates fine dust that poses significant health risks to individuals who come into contact with it.

Our technology stands at the forefront of innovation, demonstrating unparalleled advancements and exceptional energy efficiency compared to current options and those projected for the future. Altrrex has refined this technology into a proprietary solution by collaborating with research institutions to address targeted environmental issues. Our approach is problem-oriented, leveraging our expertise to tailor our technology to effectively meet these challenges.

IMPACTFUL

Environmentalists have been advocating against the practice of burning end-of-life tyres in cement industries, including those in developed countries. The situation is particularly critical in developing nations, which have become dumping grounds for these tyres. The accumulation of discarded tyres has reached alarming levels, prompting developed nations to export this waste for disposal in poorer countries. This transfer merely shifts the problem from one location to another, ultimately contributing to the disruption of the environment.

To mitigate this crisis, cement plants must be specifically designed to utilize rubber tyres as fuel, yet it is well-documented that burning rubber tyres significantly increases pollution levels from these facilities. We must work together to address this environmental disaster and curb the flow of waste, protecting the health and air quality of vulnerable nations.

COMMITTED

We’ve worked up the details and believe we can deliver our first operating plant in 26 months.

VISION

We intend to be in the forefront of sustainable technologies. Our field of expertise is Waste (Rubber, Plastic, Medical, Flare Gas), Coal to Hydrogen, Green Fuels (Diesel, Methanol, SAF) with a Net Zero carbon footprint.

The Challenge

YOU CAN'T LANDFILL, BURN OR REUSE IT

When end-of-life tyres are buried, they can leach toxic chemicals into the soil, including some of the most hazardous substances known, such as dioxins, furans, and hydrogen sulfide, which are released when the tyres are burned. Tyre manufacturers do not endorse the recycling of used tyres, as they are composed of cross-linked vulcanized polymers, similar to certain types of plastics, making them non-recyclable once formed.

Low-temperature gasification of tyres generates condensates rich in high-sulfur aromatics and metals. Additionally, the ash produced consists of 40 to 70 percent bulky fine ash, which contains highly leachable toxic chemicals, rendering it unsuitable for landfilling.
